Tafarn y Fic in y Felinheli will come alive with song on Friday 3 October at 7:00pm, as local musicians lead an easy-going Accordions Singalong. Everyone is invited to raise their voices to some of Wales’s best-loved songs – no pressure, just plenty of fun over a pint.
This isn’t a night for professional singers, but for anyone who enjoys a good pub singalong. Whether you bring an instrument, your voice, or simply your enthusiasm, you’ll be part of a warm and welcoming evening.
“Singing is great for our wellbeing, and singing in pubs has long been part of Welsh life,” says organiser Osian Owen. “For centuries, pubs were gathering places for ordinary people, where folk songs and ballads were passed down. Quarrymen would sing after a hard day’s work, just as rugby crowds do today. Our singalong is a chance to bring that tradition back, and to bring our village together. There’s no pressure – just an opportunity to enjoy ourselves!”
Entry is free, with a raffle on the night.
Everyone is welcome to bring their own instrument – or simply join in with the singing.
Osian added: “So come along, no tickets needed – just turn up and sing!”
